The Commission on Professionals in Science and Technology (CPST) hosted a national meeting on master's education on October 2-3, 2003 in Washington, DC. The meeting addressed the value, importance and growth in master's education in the sciences and mathematics, with a particular focus on innovations and recent developments, including the Professional Science Master's (PSM) degree. The meeting was attended by over 130 faculty members, university administrators, and higher education experts, as well as leaders in government, business and industry.
